IdleX is a collection of over twenty extensions and plugins that provide additional functionality to IDLE, a Python IDE provided in the standard library. It transforms IDLE into a more useful tool for academic research and development as well as exploratory programming.
IdleX runs with Python 2.6, 2.7, and 3.x.
These extensions were developed mostly under GNU/Linux using Python 2.7, and 3.3. Your experience under Windows and MacOS may vary, but please do send me bug reports or suggestions for improving it.
These extensions are released under the terms of the NCSA License Agreement, which is an OSI Approved License. Third-party extensions (and modifications) are released under the terms of their original license. For more information, see the header of each extension's source code.
